Installation & Maintenance Tips
- Locate the vehicle’s OBDII port (commonly under the dashboard) and plug the scanner in firmly.
- Turn ignition on (engine off) first to read codes; start the engine only when checking live data.
- Record stored codes and freeze-frame details before clearing codes, as clearing removes diagnostic history.
- If using on a diesel vehicle, verify the supported OBDII protocol in the vehicle documentation or via a compatibility check.
- Note: This tool is for engine/OBDII diagnostics only and will not read ABS, airbag, or TPMS faults.
