- Always replace pads in axle sets (both front wheels at the same time) to keep braking balanced
- Check front brake discs for scoring, heat spots or lips on the edge and replace or machine if outside specification
- Clean and lubricate pad slides and caliper contact points with appropriate high temperature brake lubricant
- After installation, follow the recommended bedding in procedure to allow the pad material to transfer evenly onto the disc
- Do a careful road test and check for noises, vibration or pulling under braking once the vehicle is back on the road
- Inspect brake pad thickness regularly, especially on vehicles used for towing, heavy loads or frequent city driving
